Talc

Magnesium silicate (MgSiO3) when hydrated is most commonly known as “Talc”. In the pharmaceutical industry, talc is used primarily as a glidant to improve powder flow in tablet compression. Of course, talc is also used by the personal care industry in talcum powder as an adsorbent and by the cosmetic industry in other types of powders and blushes.
